There are a lot of things standing between most people and biking greatness: the balance, the guts to try new tricks and the will to get back on the bike after they don’t go so well. But vertigo never factored into the equation, until now. Three riders literally take their sport to a new height in this video, shot on a cable car hanging 1,247 feet above the ground.

Released in July, “Ride on the Roof” was a promotion for a VTT (French for all-terrain biking) competition held in August. Kenny Belaey, Guillaume Dunand and Vincent Hermance pull of tricks on the Vanoise Express, a cable car that connects two areas of Paradiski, a ski station in the French Alps. Unfortunately, they don’t have the room for any truly amazing moves, but the visual of them hopping on one wheel so far above the Earth is impressive enough.

The first half of the video is mostly the riders speaking in French; skip to 2:25 for the good stuff.
