Q:   Hello, My name is Kandi and I was wondering could an MRI or X-rays show any injuries that Tut might have had to see if it was a chariot accident? Or could his body be tested for poisons?
Thank you,
Kandi

A:   Hi Kandi, An excellent question. Yes to both. However, considering the age and the condition of Tut's remains it is difficult to determine absolutely and conclusively exactly what and if any apparent injuries are a result of events prior or concurrent with his death or are reflective of the examinations conducted after his discovery and exhumation. The exception to this may be the shadowing effect to the base of his skull indicative of an injury prior to his burial and probably concurrent with death.

Nevertheless, the identification of such indicators would be considered in conjunction with all of the additional forms of evidence considered and the totality of circumstances, situations and environment proximate before, during and after his death. Thanks for your interest. We hope you enjoy the show!!

Take care and keep studying!

Best Wishes,
Greg Cooper

Q:   Hello, The mummification process must destroy a great deal of potential evidence.

What evidence remains which points to regicide and wouldn't that evidence be fairly incomplete?

Thanks,
Steve

A:   Steve, Very good observation and a good question. Yes both the mummification process and the age and condition of Tut's remains makes it very challenging to make any conclusive determinations of the method and manner of death. However, the evidence that is available to us and considered in light of the totality of circumstances, situations and environment before, during and after his death has a convincingly supportive effect to the probability of premature death by forceful and/or violent means. That is why it is imperative to review and analyze all of the traditional forms of evidence before committing to a final opinion. Stay tuned and find out "the rest of the story" during the program. See you there!

Best Wishes,
Greg Cooper
