VW is giving us a preview of its upcoming electric Golf, the Golf blue-e-motion with the E-Bugster Concept. Looking a lot like the VW Ragster Concept from 2005, the E-Bugster Concept takes the design of the new Beetle, but with a lower roofline.
The E-Bugster also gets slightly revised front and rear fascias, blacked out A-pillars and it rides on really large alloy wheels.

The E-Bugster is powered by a 114 horsepower electric motor. A 695-pound lithium-ion battery pack sits under the trunk and according to VW the concept has a driving range of 100 miles. The concept can be recharged via a 120-volt or 240-volt outlet. Also a quick charger can charge the battery up to 80 percent in 30 minutes.

In addition to previewing the future of VW’s electric Golf, the E-Bugster Concept also gives us a glimpse at the upcoming Beetle Cabriolet.
