Kristen Lomasney joined Discovery Channel in March 1999, when a casual conversation -- about how Judge Wapner’s Animal Court was the BEST SHOW ON TV -- resulted in a job interview and then offer. During her tenure, Kristen has held many positions, including copyeditor, director of TV development and, her latest role, interactive executive producer. As it happens, she has worked with many of Discovery Channel’s most recognizable stars since they first debuted on the channel, which has made for occasional surreal experiences, such as when the MythBusters met her boyfriend before her parents did. Kristen has a master’s in international relations and economics that she uses less than she thought she would at the time, but she’s so happy doing what she does, she’s cool with it.
