Jack Horner

Renowned paleontologist Jack Horner currently serves as the curator of paleontology at the Museum of the Rockies, at Montana State University in Bozeman, Mont. Horner is recognized for his wide-ranging topical studies on dinosaurs. He discovered: the first dinosaur eggs in the Western Hemisphere; dinosaur embryos; and evidence indicating colonial nesting and parental care among the ancient lizards.

Horner was a technical adviser to Steven Spielberg for the Jurassic Park films. He has published a multitude of articles and research papers. Also, he has co-authored several books, including Digging Up Tyrannosaurus Rex, Maia and A Dinosaur Grows Up. Horner studied geology and zoology at the University of Montana from 1964-1966 and 1968-1972, although he does not hold a formal degree.
