Bladderhorn

This species gets its name from the eerie honking cry produced by males using a pair of inflatable bladders attached to the antler-like structures on each side of the body. Only the male of the species is known. Bladderhorns live solitary lives in the mountainous regions of the planet and are the most territorial of Darwin IV's residents. This lifestyle probably gives rise to distinctive threat displays that combine vigorous honking with vivid biolights to frighten off both rivals and predators.
