Voyager 2 Snaps Io
A Voyager 2 photograph from 1979 shows Io, the innermost of the large Galilean satellites, in front of Jupiter. Io is the size of our moon. The smallest features in either Jupiter or Io that can be distinguished in this picture are about 125 miles across.
