Tracy Sugarman

His Unit's Mission: To transport men, supplies and vehicles to the invasion beaches.

Tracy Sugarman married his college sweetheart, Jane, in 1943. Four months later he shipped out. As he left on the Queen Mary for Europe, his wife gave him a package of sketch pads and watercolors saying, "If you have time, draw pictures and send them to me and I'll know you're OK."

During his time in the war, Tracy produced more than 75 drawings.
