Today and tomorrow are crucial days to test the limits of the bots. Mir 1 and 2 both dive today to explore to the greatest extents possible.

JULY 4: SIGNAL LOSS

Mir 1 and 2 dive once again. Almost midnight, Cameron loses contact with the surface! We can only wait until daybreak for the expected surfacing of both bots.

JULY 5: CAMERON RESURFACES

A giddy yet fatigued Cameron resurfaces aboard Mir 2 at about 6 a.m. This concludes Leg 1 of the expedition.
