The Tsunamis Spread Around the World

This animation may be preceeded by a short advertisement.

This NOAA animation shows how the tsunamis generated by the 9.0-magnitude earthquake actually spread around the globe. In places wave heights were no more elevated than a few inches, but they were still tsunamis. The data was captured by Earth-orbiting radars.
