TRAPPED UNDER A BOULDER

The Dilemma: Could you win a race against time to save a friend in an adventure gone bad?
Australian hiker and environmentalist Warren MacDonald heads for remote Hinchinbrook Island off the Queensland coast of Australia. He is in search of solitude and plans an easy hike around a coastal trail. But when he meets Geert Van Keulen on a deserted beach, the Dutchman soon persuades the adventurous Warren to join him on an ascent of the island's highest peak, Mount Bowen. When a one ton slab of granite shears away from a rock face pinning Warren to the bed of a rising creek, Geert faces a break-neck race against time to bring help for his new-found friend. He must hang on and wait for Geert to hike down the mountain and find help, but the rain is getting heavier and the water level rising.
ICE CAVE SURVIVOR
The Survivors: Michael and Matthew Couillard
The Dilemma: Could you leave your frostbitten son alone in a cave to search for help?
Michael Couillard is taking his 10-year-old son Matthew on a skiing trip in Turkey. Michael, an American Air Force officer based in Turkey, is an avid and experienced skier. The day starts with all the excitement of a father-son adventure. But, disaster strikes when in a freak snowstorm, they lose their way. They are forced to spend a night huddling together in the open and several days in a cave without food, matches, supplies or rescue. After a week in the cave Michael is faced with a difficult choice to stay with his son suffering from a serious case of frostbite or leave to find help. Michael takes off his ski jacket, leaves it with his son and walks out into another snowstorm as is son's condition worsens, hoping he can find help to save their lives.
SHIPWRECKED
The Survivors: Cousins Mark and Rob
The Dilemma: Could you survive on a deserted island?
Cousins Mark and Rob are on a fishing trip on the Sea of Cortez when they are shipwrecked on a desert island. With no food or water and with temperatures soaring they must survive on an uninhabited island until help arrives. Testing their friendship to the limit the two men drink juice from cactuses, eat raw crabs and share delusions and delirium before they finally escape.
ALASKAN AVALANCHE
The Survivors: Jim Sweeney and Dave Nyman
The Dilemma: Would you drag an injured friend across a glacier and through and avalanche zone in the hopes of finding help?
Climbers and close friends Jim Sweeney and Dave Nyman are scaling a sheer ice-wall in the shadow of Mount Johnson, Alaska when Jim falls and is badly injured. A passing light aircraft sees Dave's improvised SOS signal and tries to land but damages his landing gear in the process. On board, the pilot and his pregnant wife — 7 months along — are now also stranded in the icy wasteland.
