A Fan's Pictures From the Louisiana Bike Expo (May 2003)
My family and I watch American Chopper every Monday. So when we were filling out the paperwork to enter our bikes in the Louisiana Bike Expo and found out Orange County Choppers would be there, we knew we couldn't miss this!
On Thursday, May 1, we set up our bikes and headed over to OCC to see their setup. It was awesome. All the bikes were there except for the Firebike and Black Widow. We got some autographs from the crew and talked to Paul Jr., who told us that they would be riding the two bikes down the middle of the Superdome. We also met Mr. D, Vinnie's father. He is a very nice man; he talked to us for over 30 minutes.
The next day we saw the Black Widow and the Firebike, which are just unbelievable. I was speechless when I saw the Firebike, which made me think about all the people it was dedicated to. I also bought my OCC hats and had everyone, even MR. D, sign. These guys are so nice; they love to talk to you and sign things.
Saturday there was a special Sept. 11 event. Paul Jr. rode in on the Firebike, and Paul Sr. on the Black Widow. You should have seen everyone looking at the Firebike; it got really quiet. Then they had the presentation.
On Sunday, OCC's last day, I bought three more shirts and had them sign one for my wife. They treated me like gold. Mr. D always talked to me, and Paul Jr. also. I was so happy when this day was over, but they'll be back. I can't wait to see them again.
