Jake learned to fish from his father and has been on the water for over 12 years. He has fished everything from salmon to cod to crab, and has a fierce allegiance to Wild Bill. The two arelongtime friends and Jake says he will fish "wherever Bill fishes for whatever he's fishing." They often see each other in the off-season. Personal relationship aside, Jake's occasional overindulgence has earned him the full wrath of Bill. Jake was fired last season but then rehired by Bill as recently as this past summer.
