James is an all-American boy — and former college football player — who made it through a rough home life. He's proud that as a junior deckhand, he makes more money than anyone else in his family. Strong and always willing to work hard, he's been a solid performer since joining the crew at the beginning of the 2010 King season. He came to Dutch without a job — and by luck landed on the Ramblin Rose just before it left port. James has three years experience as a crab fisherman and has also worked on cod and salmonboats.
