Greenhorn Zach Larson

Zach is Wild Bill's son and returning for a second year as a greenhorn. His only fishing experience before joining the Kodiak crew involved a few months of salmon tendering when he was 14. Besides taking a few college courses, Zach has trained as a paramedic. He has attempted several times to become a fireman, but due to the volume of applicants in his home state, he's still waiting. That's why Zach took his dad up on his offer to fish crab aboard the Kodiak.

Zach knows that his father has a job to do as skipper and can't hand out any special treatment. Last year, Bill was occasionally tough on him as a greenhorn, but mainly avoided him. This year Zack has returned in part to gauge and possibly develop his relationship with his father.
