IF YOU WERE BURIED IN A CAR GRAVE, COULD YOU SURVIVE AN UNDERGROUND EXPLOSION INTENDED TO FREE YOU? Finding: BUSTED Explanation: In a Green Hornet MythBusters special that guest-starred Seth Rogen, Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage attempted to blow a car out from under a pile of dirt and a bulldozer. Mimicking a scene from the movie, the MythBusters rigged with dynamite a lookalike of the Green Hornet's car, Black Beauty, dropped it in a hole, covered it with dirt and drove a bulldozer on top of the pile. In the movie, the Green Hornet and his sidekick, Kato, detonate the explosives attached to the car, catapulting the bulldozer and dirt into the air. But when the MythBusters performed a real-life take of the same scene, the dozer didn't budge. The force of the explosives within the confined space merely moved the dirt around the machinery and also wrecked the Black Beauty stand-in. In fact, the explosion was so damaging that it destroyed the force sensors attached to the dummies inside the car, which were there to detect whether they'd survive the impact. So clearly, the dummies didn't make it. The MythBusters busted right through the Green Hornet myth, with only the bulldozer left in one piece. As seen in "MythBusters: Green Hornet Special"
