Episode 50: Bullets Fired Up
Adam and Jamie set out to solve another high caliber conundrum: Can celebratory gunfire kill when the bullets fall back to earth? With the help of some dead pigs, they worked out the terminal velocity of a falling bullet ... and the results may sting you! Meanwhile, Grant, Tori and Kari quench their thirst with another round of "Vodka Myths."
Episode 51: Myths Revisited
Here's another look at myths that generated a truckload of angry fan mail, prompting Jamie and Adam to put them back under the microscope. In Split Arrow, the three" mythkateers" take their best shots at busting this myth again — with surprising results. Fans were not impressed when the Confederate Rocket was fuelled with paraffin; instead, they insisted on a "salami" launch. In Bulletproof Water, Adam and Jamie explored the depth of survival when shot at underwater.
Episode 52: Mind Control
Adam and Jamie do a little painting and detonating when they try to blow wide open a home-improvement myth. Meanwhile, Grant, Tory and Kari are in conspiracy theory heaven as they team-tackle the myth of mind control. Is it possible to manipulate someone's mind remotely?
Episode 53: Exploding Pants
Tory, Kari and Grant investigate one truly dangerous fashion disaster: spontaneous trouser combustion. It's a problem far too prevalent among farmers. The MythBusters call in the help of the FBI to investigate this trouser tall tale. Meanwhile, Adam and Jamie try to save viewers some hard-earned cash in the Great Gas Conspiracy. When the motor car was born, the great gas conspiracy was the afterbirth. According to conspiracy theorists, gas companies and car manufacturers deliberately make cars so that they guzzle fuel. Then, behind closed doors, the two groups share the profits.
Episode 54: Crimes and Myth-Demeanors 1
The MythBusters put great movie heists to the test. Are Hollywood break-ins complete hocus pocus, or can you really crack the tightest security systems in the world with nothing more than tight-fitting black clothes and a great soundtrack? Adam and Jamie, with the help of a "surreptitious entry handbook," attempt to scale an air duct with hilarious results. The team then tries to tiptoe their way around a laser system before facing the mother of all safes.
