Unmanned oil rigs dot the horizon as the American flag flies from a fishing boat in the Gulf of Mexico about 30 miles east of the mouth of the Mississippi River on Friday, Sept. 2, 2005. When Hurricane Katrina hit the Gulf Coast it caused damage to numerous rigs, crippling substantial portions of the country's energy infrastructure.
