How Did They Do That?

A skydiver makes a phenomenal jump, skimming across the ocean surface and landing in deep water shark cage. A base jumper takes off from his motorcycle dangerously close to the ground. What do these people have in common? They've got a flair for the extreme, and their stunts will be attempted for the first time on Discovery Channel's STUNT JUNKIES.

STUNT JUNKIES is an immersive, weekly series in which the world's best extreme sports athletes, designers and stunt fabricators execute one unbelievable, hair-raising stunt.

Hosted by Perry Barndt and Eli Thompson, STUNT JUNKIES is wild, highly visual and dangerous. (Remember, these folks are professionals, so don't try these stunts at home!) Each week, STUNT JUNKIES will feature the best of the best being put to their ultimate personal test.

Extreme athletes are not like the rest of us. Through a highly developed sense of kinetic awareness they are able to slow time down in intense situations that would cause the average person to panic. STUNT JUNKIES will take viewers inside the lives and minds of these athletes.

Every episode builds to the day of the big stunt, from concept through training and testing to the final eye-popping conclusion. Each show also explores the science behind the stunts. How will the angle of a takeoff ramp or the speed of a four-wheel ATV hitting that ramp affect the outcome of the stunt? Using slow-motion footage and graphic overlays, STUNT JUNKIES explores not only the science of why a stunt works, but why some stunts go horribly wrong.

STUNT JUNKIES is spark-flying television, starring fearless athletes, adrenaline-pumping stunts and the science to back them up. Don't miss an episode!
