STEPHANIE S. MARTIN, M.D.
Dr. Stephanie S. Martin is a specialist in pediatric orthopaedics and sports medicine. She holds the positions of chief of orthopaedics at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston, and is co-surgical director of the Children's sports medicine program. She also serves as clinical assistant professor in the department of orthopaedics at Emory University.
A graduate of Vanderbilt University's School of Medicine, Dr. Martin was highly honored early and often throughout her education. She completed her residency in orthopaedic surgery at the university's medical center, after which she held a fellowship there in pediatric orthopaedics and sports medicine. Her professional affiliations include the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the Atlanta Women's Association. Volunteer medical work in pediatric orthopaedics has taken her as far away as Columbia, South America.
Dr. Martin is the mother of two children, Forest and Sydney, a special-needs child. Her husband, Gregory S. Martin, is also a medical doctor; he serves as assistant professor of medicine in pulmonary and critical care at Emory University. An all-round athlete — and the daughter of a college basketball coach — Dr. Martin describes herself as a Cleveland Browns fanatic.
