DOCTOR: ROBERT D.B. "JAKE" JAQUISS, M.D.
Robert D.B. "Jake" Jaquiss, M.D., is professor and chief of pediatric cardiothoracic surgery at Arkansas Children's Hospital and the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, and also holds the Log-A-Load for Kids Endowed Chair in Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery. Dr. Jaquiss received his undergraduate education at Wabash College in Crawfordsville, Ind., and graduated with an A.B. in chemistry, summa cum laude, in 1982. He received his medical education at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in 1986. He is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa and Alpha Omega Alpha academic societies. He completed his postgraduate residency and fellowship training at Washington University in St. Louis, Mo., and St. Louis Children's Hospital. After completing his training Dr. Jaquiss joined the faculty of the University of Miami School of Medicine, and later joined the faculty of the Medical College of Wisconsin/Children's Hospital of Wisconsin, prior to moving to Arkansas in November 2005. Dr. Jaquiss and his wife Cheryl live in Little Rock with their two daughters, Caroline and Audrey, and their son William is a sophomore at Williams College in Williamstown, Mass.
