At 5 days of age, Sebastian will undergo risky open-heart surgery. Like Allison, he was born with transposition of the great arteries. Since his heart is not oxygenating blood properly, his surgery has to happen soon. His parents, Tracy and Ann, are putting their new child's life in the hands of Charles Fraser. Dr. Fraser will make the arterial switch and reconnect Sebastian's tiny coronary arteries to their proper place on the new aorta. His heart is the size of a large strawberry and the coronary arteries are mere millimeters in diameter, making this surgery delicate beyond the normal circumstances.
