Many people dream of a Costa Rican getaway with lush rainforests and deserted tropical beaches. But imagine being dropped into this environment without food, fresh water, shelter or equipment.
Marooned on Costa Rica's Osa Peninsula, Les' primary concern is dehydration from the relentless heat and intense humidity. Although there is a small rivulet of water that runs down to the sea near his camp, it is jungle water and is probably filled with parasites.
On day four Les leaves the beach in search of a trail back to civilization. He soon discovers how harsh the jungle can be compared to the luau he's left behind. Deadly snakes like the fer-de-lance and bushmaster could easily end his survival odyssey. Les eventually gets dangerously dehydrated, and heatstroke becomes a real concern. He realizes his jungle trek has been a mistake.
Will Les find his way back to civilization? Will he even make it back to the beach? Find out in Survivorman: The Jungle.
