G-Form, maker of tough cases, has pulled another publicity stunt. After dropping iPads from higher and higher altitudes (first 60 feet, then 1,300 feet and then 100,000 feet), it decided to turn the spotlight on the iPhone.
But instead of dropping it from a ridiculous height, the company decided to use a G-Form-protected iPhone as a puck in a hockey rink. After flying at snapshot speed at 82 miles per hour, the phone continued working, ringing when called.

“Our energy absorbing technology doesn’t rely on thickness like typical foams or hard plastics, so we are able to design both athletic and electronic protective gear that offers unbelievable protection from impact, but without the bulk of any traditional technology,” Thom Cafaro, vice president of innovations at G-Form, said in a press release. “The new G-Form iPhone 4 case is a perfect example of this, with its sleek design and unsurpassed impact protection.”
