A Day in the Life
University of Illinois biologist Joel Brown and a team of students will trap squirrels in Chicago and its suburbs this winter, taking skin samples for DNA analysis. One of the aims of the project is to understand the evolutionary adaptations that have made squirrels so successful in urban environments.
