Stashed to Ward Off Evil
Shown is the tiny Bible recovered from a boot that was stashed inside a chimney cavity in England. The small Bibles were nicknamed "mini mites" or "thumb Bibles." This one was packaged in a metal-hinged case, part of which is still with the recovered bible. Included in the case was a magnifying glass to help readers decipher the miniscule print.
