Once Wetter
A distant view of the rocky slopes of the Negev desert. Data gleaned from cave formations suggest that between 140,000 and 110,000 years ago relatively frequent wet periods made the deserts of the northeastern Sahara, Sinai, and the Negev more hospitable for early humans.
