Lake Baikal From Above
Scientists have analyzed data collected on Siberia's Lake Baikal by three generations of one local family and concluded that the water is rapidly warming. As a result, its food web is appears to be changing, as certain species of plankton become more prevalent. Such shifts at the bottom of the food web could have implications for all of the lake's native species.
