The Jess Heavy Lifter, the new 302-foot aircraft designed by Canadian company SkyHook and manufactured by Boeing, shares features with blimps but brings fuel efficiency to a new level, its designers say. They claim that the aircraft will have two-and-a-half times the carrying capacity while using half the horsepower of the world's current heavy-lifting helicopter, the Russian-built MI-26. |
