Martian North Pole

Where the Action Is
This image taken by the Mars Odyssey Spacecraft shows the Martian north pole, which is covered with glaciers and carved by gullies. Some researchers believe those gullies are the result of liquid water melted by the region's volcanoes. If true, the region could be among the best places to search for alien life.
