The Milky Way
Researchers have found a fairly simple molecule known as glycolaldehyde, an eight-atomed entity more commonly known as sugar, in a warm and dense star-forming region of the Milky Way. Since the molecule combines with with another sugar to form ribose, a building block of DNA, the discovery has implications for the possibility that life exists beyond Earth. | More Images
