Melting Faster
About 85 percent of Greenland is buried in ice that's about 3,200 meters (10,560 feet) thick and on the move. Recent NASA satellite data shows Greenland glaciers draining melt water into the sea at twice the rate of 1996. That flood of freshwater into the sea is contributing to sea level rise, especially in regions nearby -- like eastern Canada and the U.S. Northeast. | Discovery News Video
