The Egg Nebula
The Egg Nebula formed from the death throes of a red giant star. Although hidden by dust, the star inside the center of the nebula is still active, shooting fast jets of material from its poles. These jets have blown away the material inside the nebula, leaving cavities and producing a hollow shell, which scientists have found is surprisingly rich in complex organic molecules. | Discovery News Video
