Heading for the Hills
A mosaic of images taken near by the Spirit rover's navigation camera on July 29, 2004. A week after these photos were taken, Spirit stood on top of the Martian hill that lies ahead, where it will spend more than a week examining the site for clues that might indicate the presence of water in the past.
