Supernova Explosion
Pictures: NASA |

Supernova Explosion
This image of a supernova is made up of photos from NASA's Spitzer Space Telescope, Hubble Space Telescope and the Chandra X-ray Observatory. The supernova remnant is a fast-moving shell of iron-rich material from the exploded star, surrounded by an expanding shock wave that is sweeping up interstellar gas and dust. Researchers have found evidence of an enormous supernova explosion at the bottom of the Pacific.
