Instructions and Answers for Perfect Pitch Test
small text
large text

Do you have perfect pitch? Here are instructions for how to find out:

This pitch test consists of 36 notes.

Write down the name of each note when it is played. The test begins with four example notes, which you can use for practice. Then there is a pause, which is followed by a block of 12 test notes.

Then there is a second pause, which is followed by a second block of 12 test notes. Then there is a third pause, which is followed by a third block of 12 test notes.

The notes within each block are separated by four seconds of silence, which gives you plenty of time to write down the answers. You can guess, but don't hum. That's cheating.

Take the test!
