Close Look at the MI
Feb. 12, 2004 — Opportunity's Microscopic Imager can be seen at the tip of the arrow. The circle to the left of the lens is the protective lens cap, which is clear so that the camera can shoot through it. There's a small piece of blue tape on the cap so that scientists can tell when a picture has been take through the cap.
