Robot Replicates Itself

In this video, a self-replicating machine consists of plastic modular cubes four inches square that are split diagonally and can swivel on a central joint 120 degrees in two directions. Electromagnets allow the so-called "molecubes" to attach or detach from other cubes, and embedded sensors recognize when such actions take place.
