John Schnabel may be the toughest among all the Gold Rush miners but he is 91-years-old. Late last summer he suffered a heart attack that required an emergency flight to Anchorage for life-saving surgery.

Grandpa John is the best inspiration I know that proves you can live as if every day is a blessing.
He’s had two previous heart attacks but that’s never stopped him operating heavy equipment and always having kind words and encouragement for his beloved grandson.
