Two seasons of Gold Rush have certainly been a lesson in humility for the Hoffman crew and Dakota Boys but how sweet to finally be able to spit out the humble pie!
Both crews crossed over into profitability in this week’s episode “In The Black” but as you saw they all came perilously close to calamity once more.
But let’s not dwell on all that’s gone before.

Wouldn’t it have been cool to hang with the Dakotas when that gleam lit up their cabin?
I for one thought that the Hoffman’s own Gold Ceremony was a little weird but hats off to that hardy bunch too. They pulled more in four days than they did all last year – and they just may have some left over to take home.
But what does Father Winter have in store? It can’t be good but if I know my miners they won’t go down without a fight!
