When is the Sweepstakes?

The sweepstakes begins at 9:00 PM ET on April 20, 2008 and ends at 11:59 PM ET on June 1, 2008. Be sure to watch "Trail Mix Crunch Adventure Challenge" on Discovery Channel from 9:00 - 10:00 PM ET during Alaska Week (April 20 - 26, 2008). Watching "Trail Mix Crunch Adventure Challenge" will help you answer questions that will be asked on the online entry form.

Who can enter?

Legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are 18 years of age or older at time of entry and have Internet access as of April 19, 2008 may enter.

How do I enter?

There are two ways to enter the Sweepstakes: online and by mail. To enter online, visit www.discovery.com/alaskaweek and access the online Sweepstakes entry form. Complete the entry form and submit so that it is received by Sponsor's server by 11:59 PM ET on June 1, 2008. As part of the online entry, you will be required to correctly answer a multiple-choice question related to "Trail Mix Crunch Adventure Challenge". If you do not correctly answer the question, you will be allowed to try again until you successfully answer the question.

To enter by mail, print your name, complete address, telephone number and date of birth on a postcard. Mail to: Trail Mix Crunch Alaskan Adventure Sweepstakes, PMI Station, PO Box 3547, Southbury, CT 06488-3547. Mail-in entries must be postmarked by June 2, 2008 and received by June 7, 2008. No mechanical reproduction of entries permitted. You will not be required to answer questions if you enter by mail.

How often may I enter?

Regardless of whether you enter online or by mail, there is a limit of one entry per person per day.

What are the prizes?

One Grand Prize will be awarded consisting of a trip for two people to Anchorage, Alaska. The prize includes round trip coach air travel, hotel accommodations for four nights, activities planned by Sponsor and ground transportation while in Alaska. The prize is valued at approximately $5,000.

When and how will the winner be selected?

The winner will be chosen in a random drawing, which will be conducted on or about June 10, 2008.

How will I know if I’ve won?

The winner will be notified by mail following the random drawing. If you’d like to know who won, just mail a self-addressed, stamped envelope to be received by June 30, 2008, to: Trail Mix Crunch Alaskan Adventure Sweepstakes Winner List, PMI Station, PO Box 750, Southbury, CT 06488-0750.

What are my chances of winning?

Your chances of winning a prize will depend on the total number of eligible entries received.

By entering the sweepstakes will I automatically win something?

No, when you enter, you are entering for a chance to win a prize.

I have a friend who wants to enter. Can he or she still participate even though the sweepstakes has already started?

If your friend is eligible, he/she may enter as described above.

How many people can enter the sweepstakes?

The sweepstakes has an ongoing registration so it is difficult to say, but there is no maximum number.

Why is the sweepstakes available only to U.S. residents?

Different rules and regulations associated with games of chance in other countries make it difficult to administer sweepstakes and games outside the United States.

What should I do if I can't reach the sweepstakes web pages when I try to visit?

Come back and try again another time! Many Internet sites experience "traffic jams" from time to time. Refreshing the page may help. However, if you have problems connecting to all web sites, contact your system administrator; you may have a problem at your end.

I'm having trouble entering the sweepstakes. My computer seems to be too slow or times out repeatedly. What should I do?

From time to time, the Internet experiences heavy periods of traffic. The slowdown in the registration process is often caused by a large number of consumers trying to register for the sweepstakes at the same time. If you are experiencing "time-outs" while trying to register, we suggest that you wait a few minutes or try again at a later time.

I'm a Macintosh user. Will I have trouble entering the sweepstakes?

No, the sweepstakes is equally accessible through Macs and PCs.
