1. ELIGIBILITY: Open to legal U.S. residents who are 18 years of age or older and have Internet access as of April 19, 2008. Employees, officers and directors of Discovery Communications, LLC ("Sponsor"), its promotional partner Kraft Foods Inc., Promotion Mechanics, Inc. ("Promotion Administrator"), their parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, TV production partners, advertising agencies, promotional suppliers and the immediate family members (spouses and parents, children and siblings and their spouses, regardless of where they live) or members of the same households (whether related or not) of such employees, officers and directors (collectively, "Sweepstakes Entities") are not eligible. All applicable federal, state, and local rules apply. Void in Puerto Rico and where prohibited or restricted by law.

2. PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: The Trail Mix Crunch Alaskan Adventure Sweepstakes ("Sweepstakes") begins at 9:00 PM Eastern Time ("ET") on April 20, 2008 and ends at 11:59 PM ET on June 1, 2008. Watch "Trail Mix Crunch Alaskan Adventure Challenge" on Discovery Channel from 9:00 - 10:00 PM ET during Alaska Week (April 20 - 26, 2008). Watching "Trail Mix Crunch Alaskan Adventure Challenge" will help you answer questions that will be asked on the online entry form. You will not be required to answer questions if you enter by mail.

3. TO ENTER: There are two ways to enter the Sweepstakes: online and by mail. To enter online, visit www.discovery.com/alaskaweek and access the online Sweepstakes entry form. Complete the entry form and submit so that it is received by Sponsor's server by 11:59 PM ET on June 1, 2008. As part of the online entry, you will be required to correctly answer a multiple-choice question related to "Trail Mix Crunch Alaskan Adventure Challenge". If you do not correctly answer the question, you will be allowed to try again until you successfully answer the question.

To enter by mail, print your name, complete address, telephone number and date of birth on a postcard. Mail to Trail Mix Crunch Alaskan Adventure Sweepstakes, PMI Station, PO Box 3547, Southbury, CT 06488-3547. Mail-in entries must be postmarked by June 2, 2008 and received by June 7, 2008. No mechanical reproduction of entries permitted.

Limit one entry per person per day regardless of method of entry. By entering, participants warrant and represent that they agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the final decision of the Sponsor and Promotion Administrator.

4. RANDOM DRAWING - PRIZE - ODDS OF WINNING: On or about June 10, 2008, Promotion Mechanics, Inc., an independent judging organization, will conduct a random drawing from among all eligible entries received to award one Grand Prize: a trip for two people to Anchorage, Alaska. The prize trip consists of round trip coach air travel for two people from a major commercial airport near winner's residence (as determined by Sponsor), standard double occupancy hotel accommodations for four nights, activities planned by Sponsor and ground transportation while in Alaska (if a rental car, subject to all car rental agency qualifications and restrictions). Expenses not specified are winner’s responsibility. Total approximate retail value ("ARV") of Grand Prize is $5,000. Actual value will be determined by winner's residence and seasonal rates. Travel and accommodations are subject to availability and certain restrictions; blackout dates may apply. Air carriers, hotels and other transportation selected by Sponsor. Winner and guest must travel at the same time on the same itinerary. Travel must be completed by August 31, 2009 or prize will be forfeited in its entirety. Travelers are responsible for any travel insurance and for all trip expenses not specified. Winner or winner’s guest must be 25 years of age or older and must have a valid U.S. driver’s license in his/her state of residency, appropriate motor vehicle insurance, and a major credit card to secure the rental car. Optional services or items such as refueling or loss or damage waiver (LDW) are extra.

Winner will be notified by email, phone, postal mail and/or express mail at Sponsor’s sole discretion. Inability to contact a winner or the return of any prize notification as undeliverable will result in the prize being forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected at random from the remaining eligible entries. Odds of winning will be determined by the number of eligible entries received.

5. GENERAL: Taxes on prize and all expenses related to acceptance and use of prize and not specified are the sole responsibility of winner. By participating, entrants agree [a] to these rules and decisions of the Promotion Administrator, which shall be final in all respects relating to this Sweepstakes; [b] to release, discharge and hold harmless Sweepstakes Entities from any and all injuries, liability, losses and damages of any kind resulting from their participation in the sweepstakes or their acceptance, use or misuse of prize including, without limitation, personal injury, death and property damage; and if a winner, [c] to permit Sweepstakes Entities to use his or her name, photograph, likeness, statements, biographical information, voice, voice likeness, city and state address, and the photograph and/or video of entrant’s room for advertising, publicity and promotional purposes in all media, including but not limited to on air and within www.discovery.com, in perpetuity, without compensation (unless prohibited by law) and agree to execute specific consent to such use upon request. Grand Prize winner will be required to complete an affidavit of eligibility, a liability release and (where legal) a publicity release, which must be returned within time period specified in notification letter or an alternate winner may be selected. If Grand Prize winner is 18 or older, as is required for entry, but not of the age of majority in state of residence, prize will either be awarded in the name of parent or legal guardian, or parent or legal guardian must ratify and sign any and all documents required of winner. Winner’s guests, or a parent or legal guardian if travel companion is a minor, must complete a liability/publicity release prior to issuance of travel documents. By accepting the Grand Prize, the winner and his/her guests represent that they understand that travel, whether by plane, automobile, or other conveyance, or by foot, and in the air, contains some inherent element of risk of accident, illness, injury, loss or death, which may be caused by negligence, forces of nature, or other agencies, known or unknown. Grand Prize winner and his/her guests represent that they recognize that such risks may be present at any time before, during and after the trip. In order to be considered the Grand Prize winner and partake of the enjoyment of this trip, Grand Prize winner and his/her guests must be willing to accept the risk, and to confirm their acceptance to such risk in writing at Sponsor’s request. Sponsor, its respective affiliates, subsidiaries, Promotion Administrator, advertising and promotion agencies, agents and representatives and the officers, directors and employees of each are not responsible for and shall not be liable for [a] any telecast, cable or telephone malfunctions, human error, satellite transmission failures, or delayed telecasts or preemption of or the failure of a cable affiliate to televise Discovery Channel® or any affiliated Sponsor network in all or any parts of the United States; [b] electronic, hardware or software program, network, Internet or computer malfunctions, failures, or difficulties of any kind, including without limitation, server malfunction or by any human error which may occur in the processing of entries; [c] failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmissions; [d] late, lost, misdirected or incomplete entries or postage-due mail; or [e] any condition caused by events beyond the control of the Sponsor that may cause the promotion to be disrupted or corrupted. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or suspend the Sweepstakes or any portion thereof should virus, bugs or other causes beyond the control of Sponsor corrupt the administration, security or proper play of the promotion, in which case prize will be awarded via a random drawing from among all eligible entries received prior to cancellation. This Sweepstakes is governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, with jurisdiction and venue in Montgomery County, Maryland, and all claims must be resolved in the courts of Montgomery County, Maryland.
