Todd has been running a remodel business back in Arizona, but for the past few years business has been steadily declining and Todd's been getting fewer and fewer jobs. He met Scott in kindergarten - he can't remember not knowing him. They've been close on and off over the years but they've always stayed in touch. When Scott asked Todd to come up to Nome to work on the new dredge, Todd thought it sounded like a good opportunity.
He knows that mining is a gamble, but right now he's got nothing to lose. He knows Scott's temper all too well, and the two of them have come to blows more than once. Todd has zero mining experience and only one day of SCUBA diving experience. But, not only does Todd have a strong construction background, he is also very familiar with wrenching on engines.
