Dr. Martin Lockley is a renowned world expert in the fields of paleontology, geology and evolution. A native of England, he created the Dinosaur Tracks Museum at the University of Colorado at Denver, and is currently its director. A prolific author and researcher, he has written more than 650 books, book reviews, papers and abstracts; book titles include Dinosaur Tracks and Traces, Tracking Dinosaurs and A Guide to Fossil Footprints of the World. In addition to his teaching and mentoring work at the university and museum, he is active with "The Trackers," a distinguished group that has researched track sites and embarked on expeditions from Colorado and Utah to exotic sites including Asia, Tanzania and Switzerland. He and his colleagues expanded the scope of dinosaur track searches to include the study of pterosaur and bird tracks. The group has made extensive studies of ancient mammals, bird and hominid tracks and discovered and documented new sites in Mexico and Nicaragua.
