Do you believe in the Mayan Doomsday prophecy?
The ancient Mayan long-count calendar is an astounding feat of astronomical observation and mathematics. It is remarkably accurate to this day, continuing to keep time with a margin of error of seconds.
And it seems to end on December 21, 2012.
According to some, this date marks the end of the world — the apocalypse. Others claim that the Mayan calendar predicts no such thing, and that all the hype surrounding December 21, 2012, is a complete misinterpretation of the facts.
