Meet Barney
In the tradition of mountain men that came before him, legendary moonshiner Barney lived life to the beat of his own drum, happiest when out in the woods among God's creatures. He raised hawks, owls, pole cats, monkeys, snakes, and alligators, before finally settling on a deer named Willard and a possum named George Jones Jr. as pets and moonshining companions. When he wasn't making moonshine and coming up with innovative ways to hide his still site, Barney loved playing the fiddle with his band of moonshiner musicians. Barney's dream was to build an underground still site, and with the help of his still-hand Josh, he almost achieved it. Sadly, Barney passed away in early 2011 due to complications from his battle with cancer. Now, it's up to Josh and his new partner Bill to carry on the pursuit of Barney's underground still site dream.
