Deputy Blake Massaro
Drug Enforcement Unit (summer) & Drug Task Force (winter)
When Deputy Massaro was growing up in Humboldt, many of the men in his church were in law enforcement. He loved listening to their stories and was inspired to become a deputy himself and joined HCSO. Starting out as a patrol officer, he was often the first responder on emergency calls. He soon realized he could better serve his community and fellow officers if he became skilled in first aid. He then trained as an Emergency Medicine Technician and now serves as the team medic. He is the CPR and first aid instructor for the county. Massaro is also a member of the SWAT team. He loves what he does and considers it a dream job. Massaro has a 13-year-old son. His hobbies include buying nice clothing, collecting garnets, and tying fishing flies (even though he doesn’t fly fish!).
