Growing up, agent Dunn never expected to become a police officer. He was headed down a different path, working as a seasonal fireman in Yosemite National Park. But one night a friend in law enforcement took him for a ride-along during a busy graveyard shift. Dunn loved it—and never looked back. He joined the Madera County Sheriff’s Department as a reserve deputy. A year later he went on a fishing trip to Humboldt County. For an avid outdoorsman like Dunn, the county was a dream come true. He relocated to Humboldt and joined the Eureka Police Department, working over the years as a patrolman, mounted patrol, and detective. He currently works as an investigator with the Humboldt County District Attorney’s Office and serves as a member of the county’s Drug Task Force, focusing primarily on narcotics.
