Robotics Expert / “BattleBots” Champ / Mars Rover Designer
Jason Bardis runs the diabolical “Infernolab,” an organization that designs and creates entertaining electromechanical robots and devices, and holds the title of Senior Product Engineer at WET Design.
In addition, he designs mechanisms, structures, and tests for space and ground programs including the robotic arm on the Phoenix Mars Lander Rover and the Curiosity Mars Rover. He has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from UCSB.
He has designed, built and competed in over 26 robot combat competitions and won the first place championship 3 times on the nationally televised “BattleBots” competition.
