End Game - Episode 4TROODON - Late Cretaceous, 65 million years ago, Montana
Troodon males tend to their egg clutches in a communal nesting site. With one of the highest brain to body size ratios, these raptors were probably among the smartest dinosaurs discovered so far.
WHAT THE SHOW EXPERT SAYS: "We actually know Troodon and its relatives in a fair bit of detail because of a lot of really great fossils from around the world. We know that they were feathered. We know that they were nesting animals. And we know by looking at the size of their brain relative to their body that they were probably pretty intelligent animals, at least for a dinosaur."
